Overview of the Quality Control architecture

ldeagen Quality Control Enterprise edition (formerly QPM) is a desktop application used as a platform with inbuilt apps to manage and produce documentation and reports for Quality Control, such as; First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and other related activities, to in-house, customer or international standards.

About Ideagen Quality Control
Whilst the FAIR & PPAP apps are standard in their approach, there are configurable options to allow their setup to suit individual project or end customer requirements.
ldeagen Quality Control Enterprise edition is a suite of applications that help manage quality inspection and process management tasks involved in new product introduction. They are used by manufacturers to streamline their processes, remove variation and mistake-proof important and complex tasks.
All lQC Enterprise applications are launched from the IQC installed client, Windows PC application.

Important Note: The purpose of the customer connection to Ideagen infrastructure is limited to software delivery, verification and configuration only. No technical detail is shared with or uploaded to Ideagen. All part technical data will remain on customer controlled infrastructure.
Architecture description
Quality Control Enterprise is a Windows PC client application deployed using Microsoft ClickOnce and communicating with ldeagen web server backend for the purpose of software version, license and configuration management.
The Microsoft ClickOnce technology is used for initial deployment and to manage software updates and ensure all clients are maintained at a compatible version.
Software updates are provided by invitation, or customer request, and will only be deployed by mutual agreement.
The front end is the client installed application IQC Enterprise Front end development C# .NET.
The backend is IIS Web server applications hosted and used by ldeagen for the purpose of customer management, licensing & verification purposes.
The front end application connects to the backend web server applications using SOAP calls and WSDL's, via Port 443.
The font end and back end are both C# .NET.
Note: The backend is not independently accessible by ldeagen customers or their users outside of the Quality Control Enterprise application.
