IT Administrator permissions may be required.
This article outlines the second step of the client deployment process - creating the central repository and license and shared resources folder (LSRF) structure.
Before continuing, make sure you've completed the previous step in the process.
1. Creating the central repository
To create the central repository:
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to a secure location within your network.
- Create an initial parent folder.
Note
You can typically create the central location on an accessible server, where you can share the folders through a shared drive.
2. Creating sub-folders
To create the required sub-folders:
- Open the parent folder.
- Create a sub folder labelled LSRF.
- Create a sub folder labelled Repository.
3. Assigning security permissions
To assign security permissions to the parent folder:
- Right-click the parent folder.
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Select the user group that will be using the application within your organisation.
- Click Edit.
- Assign Read, Write, and Execute permissions as required.
Once assigned, the created sub-folders will inherit the security permissions you assign to the parent folder.
Note
If everyone will be using the product, you can create your own group with all users assigned.
